Senator Susan Rubio Praises President Biden, Congress for Reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act

SACRAMENTO, CA – Senator Susan Rubio (D-Baldwin Park) released a statement today on the bipartisan agreement to reauthorize the federal Violence Against Women Act:

“Violence against women continues to be a devastating and tragic issue in our country.  I want to thank President Biden and Congress for protecting and supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. I know the president has long advocated for these protections. While more needs to be done, reauthorizing the federal Violence Against Women Act will save lives.”
