State Senator Susan Rubio (D-Baldwin Park), Assemblyman Eduardo Garcia (D-Coachella), Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio (D-Baldwin Park), Evan Rachel Wood and Esmé Bianco, along with other survivors of domestic violence, will speak in support of SB 273/AB 1029, the Domestic Violence Protection Act, as well as share their stories. The bills would increase the statute of limitations for certain domestic violence felonies and expand training requirements for peace officers to help identify survivors of domestic violence.
