Senator Susan Rubio Addresses ICE Raids, Housing at LA Voice Community Forum
Our communities are strongest when people have a seat at the table and their voices are heard.
It was a powerful and deeply moving evening at Baldwin Park United Methodist Church, hearing directly from community members about immigration, affordability, housing, domestic violence, and the challenges impacting their families.
To those who courageously shared their personal experiences—your stories moved me deeply. I know how difficult it can be to speak about these experiences, and I am grateful for your courage and trust. Your voices strengthen my commitment to continue fighting for survivors and their families.
Thank you to LA Voice, Beatriz, Baldwin Park United Methodist Church for creating a space for these important conversations, and to Councilmember Estrada for joining us. Most importantly, thank you to every community member who opened their heart and shared their story with me.
