We are now accepting nominations for exceptional women who live and/or work in the 22nd Senate District to be honored for Senator Susan Rubio’s annual Women of the Year Awards. This celebration honors women whose leadership, service, and accomplishments uplift and strengthen our communities across a variety of fields. Please help us celebrate National Women’s History Month and the women who make valuable contributions to our community by filling out the nomination form below.
The nomination deadline is Friday, February 6, 2026 at 5:00 pm.

- Be nominated to a specific category (see below)

- Legacy Woman of the Year
Recognizes a woman whose lifelong contributions have created lasting, transformative change in the community.
- Health Care Woman of the Year
Celebrates a woman who has made outstanding contributions to advancing health care access, quality, or innovation.
- Military Woman of the Year
Honors a woman currently in military service or a Veteran, whose service, advocacy, or support for military personnel and veterans has significantly strengthened the community.
- Public Safety Woman of the Year
Recognizes a woman employed by a Police or Fire Department who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to protecting public safety and enhancing community well-being.
- Emerging Leader of the Year
Celebrates a rising young woman whose early achievements show great promise for future impact.
- Educator of the Year
Honors a woman who has demonstrated excellence in education and a deep commitment to empowering students.
- Arts and Culture Woman of the Year
Recognizes a woman who has enriched the community through exceptional contributions to the arts, culture, or creative expression.

Celebrates a woman whose leadership in the nonprofit sector has significantly expanded services and strengthened community support.

Who Can Nominate?
- We encourage you to nominate unsung heroes in our community. Please note that self-nominations and nominations of elected officials will not be accepted.
How many people can I nominate?
- The number of individual women you may nominate is not limited, though only one nomination per individual, please. Our team will contact you and the nominee with additional details if selected.
What date will the ceremony be held?
- The Women of the Year Ceremony will be held on March 14th, 2026. Nominees and the person who nominated them will receive additional details once selected.
