I am proud to have secured $25 million in state funding  for the City of Alhambra’s first-ever Community Center — a new space that will serve families, children, and residents for generations to come.

This center will bring recreation, arts, meeting rooms, and an emergency operations hub to the community while restoring a historic landmark.

Thank you to my colleague Assemblymember Mike Fong for partnering with me — together, as Chair and Vice Chair of the San Gabriel Valley Legislative Caucus, we proudly championed this investment for our region.

Although I no longer represent Alhambra, it will always be close to my heart and I am deeply touched that the event halls will be named Susan Rubio. It was an honor to join the groundbreaking and to see years of advocacy finally come to life. I can’t wait to see this project completed and serving our families soon.
