Fire Update From Senator Susan Rubio
My office is monitoring the Bridge Fire and the Line Fire and would like to thank our brave firefighters, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and all first responders.
Governor Newsom has declared a state of emergency for Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties and secured federal assistance to support firefighting efforts. The California National Guard is helping to support firefighting efforts on the ground.
I would like to remind everyone that air quality remains very poor so limited outdoor activity is highly recommended especially for sensitive groups.
I also recommend that parents and guardians check in with their children’s schools to see if there are any closures or suspension of activities and athletics.
Here are CalFire’s webpages for the Bridge Fire and Line Fire, so that you can have access to updated information.
We also encourage all residents to be "Ready!" for any potential wildfire threats. Please visit www.fire.lacounty.gov/rsg to review the "Ready! Set! Go!" program. This resource will help you prepare a personal wildfire action plan with essential safety tips to protect your property and prepare your family in case evacuation becomes necessary.
Your health, safety and wellbeing is my top priority. As your State Senator I will continue to provide important reminders to help keep you and your families safe. Below is some important information.
Sincerely,
Senator Susan Rubio
22nd State Senate District
