I know many residents are going through some difficult times. Here's some information regarding help that will become available for renters.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 17, Los Angeles County will begin accepting applications for county renters who need it most between 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Assistance will be provided to income-eligible households financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Residents who are eligible for the relief funding can submit an application at https://www.211la.org/lacounty/rentrelief or by dialing 2-1-1.
The program will run from Aug. 17 to Aug. 31.

My staff is working remotely due to the pandemic. While the office is physically closed, my staff is accessible by phone and email to help my constituents. Like everyone else, I want to get back to normal. As a community, we should remain considerate of the health of others, wear face masks in public, and practice physical distancing.
The work to emerge out of this tragedy and rebuild our state will require everyone to do their part, to work together, and to look after each other as we have been doing.
