Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I know these are stressful times, but we will get through this together. I’m working every day with my colleagues and Gov. Gavin Newsom to ensure that we provide as much assistance as we can to you. I know many have been impacted by this crisis, and we will reassess the best way to increase resources as the situation  continues.

As always, if you have need assistance with state agencies, please do not hesitate to contact my district office at (626) 430-2499, capitol office at (916) 651-4022, or email at https://sd22.senate.ca.gov/contact

For those not able to secure paid leave, state (California Family Rights Act) and federal laws (Family and Medical Leave Act) may qualify you for up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year.

I know this is difficult for many. Please stay at home during this time as much as possible. It will help end the pandemic sooner. It will also save lives. In addition, if you can safely do it, try and check in safely with neighbors, especially seniors, to see if they are doing OK. We will get through this together.

Sincerely,
